SEND Teacher – Long-Term Role | Lewes

Contract: Full-time, long term (with potential to extend for an additional term)
Location: Lewes, East Sussex

Our agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a supportive SEND provision within a school in Lewes. This long-term position begins in January and offers the possibility of continuing into the summer term. The successful teacher will work with a small group of pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and developmental delays. Pupils may be working below age-related expectations, with some presenting social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about working in specialist or inclusive settings and is committed to making a meaningful impact on learners with SEND.

The Role

As the SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning for pupils with a variety of needs

  • Support pupils’ communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing

  • Work closely with support staff, providing guidance and modelling effective strategies

  • Collaborate with the school’s SENDCo, families, and external agencies to ensure individualised provision

  • Use creative, flexible approaches to meet diverse learning needs

  • Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing environment that enables pupils to thrive

About You

We are looking for SEND Teachers who:

  • Have experience working in a SEND setting, specialist provision, or inclusive school environment

  • Are adaptable, resilient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
