About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging, innovative lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering a broad range of artistic techniques and media.
- Inspire students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in both practical and theoretical aspects of art.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them progress and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Art department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is advantageous, but applications from experienced UQTs (Unqualified Teachers) with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Experience: Experience in teaching art at secondary level is desirable, but a passion for the subject and a commitment to student success are essential.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Attitude: A passion for art and a desire to inspire and support students in their artistic development.
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to obtain one).
