Are you passionate about nurturing creativity and inspiring young artists? We are looking for a dedicated Art Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school in Battle, East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for the arts, guide students in their creative journey, and make a real difference in their education.

About the Role:

As an Art Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging, innovative lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering a broad range of artistic techniques and media.
  • Inspire students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in both practical and theoretical aspects of art.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them progress and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Art department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is advantageous, but applications from experienced UQTs (Unqualified Teachers) with relevant experience are also welcome.
  • Experience: Experience in teaching art at secondary level is desirable, but a passion for the subject and a commitment to student success are essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • Attitude: A passion for art and a desire to inspire and support students in their artistic development.
  • DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to obtain one).
