Teaching Assistant (SEND)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant for SEND to join our wonderful school community in St Leonards. As a Teaching Assistant for SEND, you’ll play a key role in supporting students’ learning and helping them succeed.

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated individual who can:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEND.
• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities to support individual needs.
• Promote independence, confidence, and social development in students.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement strategies and support plans.
• Assist with managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive, focused learning environment.

Essential Requirements:
• DBS certificate on the update service (this is essential).
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• A caring and patient nature with a passion for supporting students with SEND.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with SEND students is preferred but not essential.
