A primary school in Worthing is looking for a skilled and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons for small groups of children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of SEN strategies, effective interventions, and best practices to support these pupils in overcoming challenges. This position focuses on creating a positive, nurturing environment where children can grow academically and personally, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons to small groups of pupils with diverse SEN needs, adapting materials and methods as required.
Implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating closely with the SENCo and other staff.
Utilise a range of interventions and approaches to engage pupils, enhance their learning, and support social, emotional, and academic development.
Track and record pupil progress, providing feedback and making informed adjustments to teaching strategies.
Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure a cohesive support network for each child.
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes independence, resilience, and positive engagement.

Essential Experience/Attributes:

Extensive experience working with primary-aged children with a wide range of SEN needs.
Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practice in educational settings.
Ability to differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
