The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, equipping students with the mathematical skills and confidence they need to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus
  • Support and challenge students to reach their full potential, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and department initiatives
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs or competitions

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
  • Experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics
  • An up-to-date DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for Maths

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with A-Level Maths delivery
  • Knowledge of different teaching strategies to engage a diverse range of learners
  • Familiarity with exam board specifications and assessment criteria
  • Ability to contribute to whole-school numeracy initiatives
