Salary: Surrey Fringe L5 – L8 (£56,320 – £60,540 per annum)

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SENCO to join our Senior Leadership Team near Guildford. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about making a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school, ensuring high standards of support for students with special educational needs.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for identifying, assessing, and supporting students with SEN.

  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students, providing targeted interventions to ensure their academic and personal growth.

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and maintain individualised education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that promotes the well-being and success of all students.

  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

  • Provide training and support for staff on SEN-related issues and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant SENCO qualifications and experience.

  • Proven track record of successful leadership and management within a school setting.

  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
