Midday Meals Supervisor

Location: Newhaven

Position: Midday Meals Supervisor

Hours: Part-time, 1.5 hours Monday to Friday between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Term Time Only

Salary: £12.92

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist children while they eat, encouraging healthy eating habits.
• Manage playground activities, promoting positive behavior and inclusive play.
• Address any minor first aid needs and report any incidents to senior staff.
• Support children in developing good social skills and table manners.
• Ensure the dining area and playground are clean, tidy and safe.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
• Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage.

This role is due to start as soon as possible and will run through to the summer holidays – due to the fact this role needs to be filled quickly we ask that all applicants have a current and clean DBS that is on the update service.
