Pay: Starting at £105 per day

About the Role: Our client secondary school in Crawley is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This full-time role will commence in September 2024, offering you the chance to play a key role in maintaining continuity in students’ education during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task with the work set by the absent teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning as needed, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Liaise with teachers and other staff to ensure smooth handover of lesson plans and student information.
• Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Must have an up-to-date DBS on the update service.
• Current safeguarding training is essential.
• Previous experience working with children and young people is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas and with different age groups.
