English Teacher KS3/ KS4

Are you passionate about inspiring young people through literature and language? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Hailsham is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team full-time, delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 3 & 4 students.

Whether you hold QTS or have a strong academic background in English with relevant teaching or coaching experience, we welcome your application. Strong behaviour management skills are essential to ensure a positive and focused classroom environment.

Day to day:

• Teaching English to KS3 & KS4 students
• Planning and delivering dynamic lessons that foster a love for reading, writing, and communication
• Supporting student progress and encouraging critical thinking and creativity
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a productive learning space

About you:

• QTS is preferred, though applicants with a strong academic background in English and experience teaching or coaching secondary school students are encouraged to apply
• Confident in delivering English lessons and supporting student achievement
• Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people
