Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Would you thrive in a school where no two days are the same?
A specialist SEND school in Chichester is seeking committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with a wide range of needs including complex needs, non-verbal communication, and challenging behaviour.
Support pupils in the classroom and through individualised learning
Assist with communication aids, sensory support, and structured routines
Help de-escalate behaviours with calm, proactive strategies
Provide personal care where necessary
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to deliver holistic support
Experience working with SEND, including non-verbal and/or complex needs
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a safe, supportive way
Positive, reliable, and ready to work as part of a team
Comfortable working across a range of ages, from early years to post-16
Available full-time (Monday to Friday) from ASAP or September
