Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference? Do you have a sporty background or an active interest in sports? We are working with a fantastic all-boys SEMH school, located between Horsham and Billingshurst, who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their upper primary provision.

The school supports boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and additional learning needs. They are looking for a positive role model – someone who can build strong relationships, encourage participation, and support pupils both emotionally and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent support in and out of class to students aged 9–13.

  • Use sport and physical activity as a tool for engagement.

  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and learning needs.

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement strategies that meet each child’s needs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Sporty, active, or with experience coaching/mentoring young people.

  • Calm, patient, and positive in the face of challenges.

  • Experience with SEMH or additional needs is highly desirable but not essential.

  • Committed to a long-term role with opportunity to go permanent.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a welcoming team and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
