Empathy, patience and a calm approach to challenging behaviour
Strong communication and active listening skills
Ability to build trust and positive relationships with young people
Team player with a proactive mindset
Resilience and a sense of humour
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Experience working with vulnerable children or young people (desirable but not essential)
Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
Helping young people regulate their emotions and engage with learning
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families
Supporting behaviour management strategies
Assisting with classroom organisation and planning
Passionate about supporting young people with complex needs
Open to learning and professional development
Looking to start or grow a career in education or youth work
