Intervention Specialist – Brighton (Secondary School Setting)
A secondary school in Brighton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Intervention Specialist to support targeted student progress across key stages. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The role involves delivering focused academic or behavioural interventions, either 1:1 or in small groups, working closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, or behaviour support.
Monitor and record student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
Build positive, professional relationships with students to encourage confidence and motivation.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Must hold a valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be prepared to obtain one prior to starting.
Safeguarding training is required (or must be completed before starting).
