An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) to contribute to positive outcomes for learners with SEND within a secondary school setting.

This position is offered on a three-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension depending on future needs and performance. It provides a meaningful opportunity to lead inclusive practices and make a lasting difference to students’ educational experiences.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent Teaching and Leadership: A strong classroom practitioner with a successful track record and the ambition to develop into, or continue as, a high-impact leader.

  • Strategic Vision for SEND: Proven ability to identify student needs, design and implement tailored interventions, maintain effective tracking systems, and lead a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement across SEND provision.

  • Breadth of Key Stage Experience: Confidence in teaching and leading across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a solid understanding of the academic and pastoral needs of learners in these stages.

  • Inspirational Leadership and Teamwork: A motivational and collaborative approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and wider stakeholders.
