Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: (dependent on experience)

🏫 About Us:

We are a vibrant and inclusive SEN primary school in Crawley, dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children with a range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.

💼 The Role:

As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our in-house therapy team (including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists) to support the delivery of therapy programmes across the school. You will also collaborate with teaching staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.

🌈 Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of individual therapy plans
  • Assist pupils with communication, sensory, and physical needs
  • Prepare and maintain therapy resources and equipment
  • Record and monitor pupil progress under the guidance of therapists
  • Promote independence and well-being in all aspects of school life

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or therapeutic setting
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the pupils
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or therapy-related training) are desirable but not essential
