Are you an experienced SEN practitioner with a calm, confident approach and a passion for supporting children with complex needs?

A caring and inclusive mainstream primary school just west of Chichester is seeking a resilient and skilled 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to making a real difference.

💼 Your Role Will Include:

• Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with ASD and emotional/behavioural regulation needs.
• Implementing strategies to support engagement, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
• Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external professionals.
• Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing space for learning and development.

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural needs.
• A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency.
• Ability to drive – due to the school’s location outside central Chichester.
