About the Role
Are you passionate about History, Geography or the wider Humanities and eager to inspire young minds? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join a welcoming secondary school in Brighton as an Unqualified Humanities Teacher. This rewarding opportunity offers both short-term and long-term placements, making it ideal for anyone considering a teaching career or looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive and engaging school environment.
You’ll help deliver thought-provoking Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging students to explore the world around them and think critically about historical, geographical and social issues. Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll play a key role in helping students develop curiosity, understanding and analytical skills.
Your Responsibilities

Deliver and support engaging Humanities lessons that promote curiosity and critical thinking

Encourage positive behaviour, participation and academic achievement

Adapt teaching methods and materials to support a range of learning styles

Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote a love of Humanities subjects
