About the Role
Are you passionate about History, Geography or the wider Humanities and eager to inspire young minds? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join a welcoming secondary school in Lewes as an Unqualified Humanities Teacher. This exciting opportunity offers both short-term and long-term placements, making it perfect for anyone considering a teaching career or seeking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
You’ll help deliver engaging and thought-provoking Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging students to explore global issues, historical events and cultural understanding. Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll play a key role in helping learners think critically, communicate effectively and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Your Responsibilities

Deliver and support engaging Humanities lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking

Encourage positive participation, behaviour and academic achievement

Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit a range of learning styles and abilities

Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote a passion for Humanities subjects
