SEND Teaching Assistant – Worthing

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Hours: 08:30 AM – 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £89 per day PAYE, temp to perm

We’re recruiting a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a Worthing primary. If you enjoy hands-on support and celebrating small steps of progress, this role offers meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND, including differentiation and resource adaptation.

• Support pupils’ social and communication development.

• Assist with personal care needs where applicable and keep accurate records.

• Work with teachers and external agencies to support progress.

Skills & Experience / What We’re Looking For:

• Empathy, patience and strong observational skills.

• Transferable skills: communication, teamwork, record-keeping, initiative.

• Experience with SEND advantageous but not essential.

Additional Information:

• Supportive leadership and ongoing training.
