Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Chichester

Location: Chichester, West Sussex

Hours: 08:30 AM – 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Competitive (based on experience) – typically aligned with TA pay bands

We’re looking for an experienced HLTA to join a supportive Chichester primary school. If you can lead learning, cover classes and support curriculum delivery, we’d love your application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned learning activities and lead whole-class lessons under teacher direction or in cover situations (where permitted).

• Support curriculum planning and assessment, and lead targeted interventions.

• Supervise and mentor other support staff and contribute to school development.

• Maintain records and report on pupil progress.

Skills & Experience / What We’re Looking For:

• HLTA qualification or substantial TA experience with HLTA responsibilities.

• Strong pedagogical understanding and ability to lead interventions.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Transferable skills: organisation, time-management, coaching, adaptability.
