Location: Near Horsham (Own Transport is Necessary) 
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, full-time
Salary: £127 per day (through Pink Tile, inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract: 60-working-day temp-to-perm in the same setting

We are looking for an experienced (at least two years) Behaviour Assistant to join our welcoming SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school near Horsham. This specialist school supports children and young people aged 5–18 with SEMH and Autism.

This role is to help the running of the out-of-lesson young people, a place where they can go to regulate their emotions. The assistants will undertake activities with the aim of regulating the pupil(s) before returning to class. Activities can include playing sport, going for a walk, having a talk, playing with a toy – whatever it is that is needed to calm the child down to the point that they’re ready to learn once again.  

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with students, staff, and families to help unlock communication potential and support wider learning and life skills.

  • A person that the young people can rely on and trust to help in the the trickiest times.

Key Information

  • Days: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

  • Contract: 60-working-day temp-to-perm (you remain in the same setting).

  • Pay: £127 per day (inclusive of 12.07% PAYE holiday).

  • Start Date: ASAP (we can wait for notice periods for the right candidate).
