Learning Support Assistant – Full Time 🌟

📍 Location: Horsham Area (Driver essential)
🕒 Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
💰 Pay: £100-£110 per day (inclusive of 12.07% PAYE holiday)
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📄 Contract: Temp to Perm

We’re looking for a caring and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming autism specialist school in the Horsham area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with autism and additional learning needs in a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment.


🧩 About the Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and associated SEN needs

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning and communication strategies

  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social development

  • Helping to create a calm, consistent, and engaging learning environment

  • Promoting independence and positive behaviour through encouragement and clear routines


Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with autism (essential)

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Ability to drive due to location

  • A patient, proactive and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse learners
