Behaviour Support Assistant – Burgess Hill

Day Rate: £89–£100 per day

We are seeking a calm, resilient and supportive Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Burgess Hill. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children or young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviours.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional emotional and behavioural support to help them regulate, re-engage with learning, and build trust and stability. You’ll play an essential role in creating a safe, consistent and positive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEMH needs or behaviour support

  • A calm, patient and trauma-informed approach

  • Strong de-escalation and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to remain consistent, supportive and reliable

  • Passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
