About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher (Physics) to join a supportive secondary school team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a strong focus on practical science and excellent behaviour management.


Key Details

  • Days: Monday to Wednesday
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:35pm
  • Start Date: January
  • Duration: Until February half-term (potential extension to May)
  • Location: Accessible by car only – driver essential or very local

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, deliver, and mark lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver practical science lessons safely and effectively
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour management
  • Attend parents’ evenings (in person or online)
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to high-quality teaching and learning

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics
  • Experience teaching KS3–KS4 Science
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons
  • A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to safeguarding
