An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Uckfield is expanding its behaviour team due to increased need across the school. They are seeking a Behaviour Mentor who can build strong relationships with pupils experiencing emotional, behavioural or trauma-related difficulties.
The school’s pastoral team includes a Family Liaison Officer, SENCO, and an experienced behaviour lead who will guide you through training and daily support. They have a designated space for regulation, sensory breaks and informal mentoring sessions.
Daily responsibilities include:
Supporting children with SEMH needs
Running small-group sessions around emotional regulation
Using trauma-informed approaches with guidance from the behaviour team
Reinforcing behaviour expectations in class and during transitions
