Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in primary schools?
We are recruiting Graduate Psychology Assistants to work part-time or full-time in mainstream primary schools across Brighton, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs. This flexible role is ideal for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, SEN teaching, or child mental health.
Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support in the classroom
Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
Assist teachers with individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
Support interventions focused on speech, language, and emotional literacy
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Psychology degree or related subject
Strong interest in child development and SEN support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Previous experience with children (school, care, tutoring, or voluntary) is desirable
