We are currently recruiting a calm, patient, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in the Littlehampton area. This role involves supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day. You will play a key role in helping students feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning, adapting your approach to meet emotional, behavioural, and educational needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Confidence supporting pupils within the classroom

  • Resilience and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations
