We’re recruiting Support Mentors to work within SEND and SEMH educational settings, supporting pupils who need consistency, empathy, and strong role models.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Implement behaviour and support plans alongside teaching staff
Promote inclusion, resilience, and independence
Be a calm, consistent presence in the classroom and wider school environment
Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or similar)
Confidence supporting challenging behaviour
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable
(SEND/SEMH experience is desirable but not essential)
Empathy, resilience, and emotional intelligence
Strong boundaries with a nurturing approach
Reliability and commitment to long-term work
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
