General Learning Support Assistant – Year 3 (Full‑Time)

Hours: Full‑Time, Term‑Time
Contract: Long‑Term / Ongoing

A lovely, supportive primary school in the South Croydon area is looking for a dedicated General Learning Support Assistant to join their Year 3 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working within lower KS2 and wants to make a real impact in the classroom.

About the Role

  • Provide general classroom support in a Year 3 class
  • Assist with group work, guided learning sessions and day‑to‑day classroom tasks
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs to help them stay engaged and make progress
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider year group team
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children in primary education (SEN experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Positive, proactive and confident in a busy KS2 setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children’s learning
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a friendly, committed team
