If you’re confident delivering math and you genuinely enjoy supporting young people with SEMH needs — this could be the role where you finally feel valued.

This fantastic SEMH secondary setting is looking for a Math Specialist who can support small groups and 1:1 intervention in a calm, nurturing space. With beautiful grounds, supportive staff, and a school that puts wellbeing first, it’s the ideal place for someone who wants to make a real impact.

What the school offers

  • Small classroom groups for focused math intervention
  • Stunning green, spacious grounds that feel nothing like a typical school
  • Incredibly supportive leadership who genuinely back their staff
  • A welcoming team who work together, communicate, and celebrate progress
  • Training, guidance, and a chance to build real relationships with students

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering targeted math interventions to KS3/KS4 students
  • Supporting learners with SEMH, anxiety, trauma backgrounds, or behaviour needs
  • Breaking down concepts in a calm, accessible way
  • Helping students rebuild confidence in learning and feel safe in the classroom
  • Working closely with pastoral leads, teachers and support staff
  • Creating a positive, structured, consistent learning space

Who we’re looking for

  • Someone with math confidence — teaching, tutoring, HLTA or intervention experience
  • Background working with SEMH / challenging behaviour in a school or youth setting
  • Calm, nurturing, patient — but also firm, consistent and reliable
  • Able to adapt teaching styles to different learning needs
  • DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply straight away)
  • Above all: someone who cares and wants to help students succeed

If you want a role where you’re supported, trusted, and part of a team that really values you — this is the perfect opportunity.
