Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-organised secondary school in Crawley to recruit a Cover Supervisor for a long-term role starting from Easter 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment. The role involves supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused, engaged and supported throughout the lesson.
Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using set lesson plans
Maintaining a calm, safe and productive learning environment
Managing behaviour in line with the school’s clear and consistent policies
Supporting pupils to stay on task and complete their work
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
Is considering a future career in teaching
Has previous experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching or similar)
Is confident managing groups and communicating clearly
Is flexible, resilient and calm under pressure
A strong behaviour framework and clear expectations
Ongoing support from subject departments and senior staff

Potential progression into teacher training, pastoral or wider support roles

This role requires an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and up-to-date safeguarding training. The school is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
