We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-boys SEMH school in Haywards Heath. This full-time, term-time-only role involves supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in the classroom and around the school
Providing consistent, individualised support to promote engagement, independence, and learning
Working closely with teaching and support staff to implement strategies and interventions
Promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviours
A patient, calm, and supportive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of safeguarding and confidence in applying best practice
A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs
