Requirement: Must be able to drive due to limited public transport access

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Hassocks supporting students with Autism. This full-time, term-time-only role involves helping students engage with learning in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

The school has excellent facilities, including large outdoor spaces, gardening areas, and animals on site, providing a calm and engaging setting for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with Autism in the classroom and around the school
Provide individualised support to promote engagement, independence, and learning
Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies and interventions
Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development
Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting students with Autism
Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice
Patient, calm, and supportive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for working with students with SEN
