A larger-than-average primary school serving the Eastbourne and Polegate community is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2.
The school has recently invested heavily in pastoral provision and is building a strong inclusion team. They need someone resilient, calm and experienced in supporting children with SEMH needs.
This role will involve:
Supporting pupils struggling with emotional regulation
Working 1:1 and in small nurture groups
Implementing behaviour support plans
Liaising with teachers and pastoral leads
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Previous experience in:
SEMH
Behaviour mentoring
Youth work
PRU or alternative provision
