We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Individual Needs Assistants to support a children with Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) within an educational setting.
Provide dedicated 1:1 support in line with the child’s EHCP targets
Support learning within the classroom and adapt tasks where required
Assist with emotional regulation and social interaction
Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
Promote independence and confidence
Liaise with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
Record progress, incidents, and observations accurately
Support with transitions between lessons and activities
Build a positive, trusting relationship with the child

Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or additional needs is highly desirable but not always essential for the right candidate.
