Personal Assistants (PA’s) – Supporting Children with Additional Needs

We are recruiting Personal Assistants (PAs) to support children and young people with additional needs. This is a flexible opportunity with shifts available during term time, school holidays and weekends, with a variety of working options to suit your lifestyle.

Whether you are a student, studying alongside work, retired and looking for meaningful part-time work, or simply seeking flexible hours — this role could be perfect for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to children and young people with additional needs

  • Support daily routines, education and social activities

  • Promote independence and confidence

  • Assist with personal care where required

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Accompany and assist during community-based activities

  • Build trusting and consistent relationships

  • Ensure safety and wellbeing at all times


Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

  • Background in care, support work, youth work, education, sports coaching or similar

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy and resilience

  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations

  • Reliable, flexible and committed to making a difference
