We are working with a supportive and nurturing school in Tunbridge Wells seeking dedicated Support Mentors to work either 1:1 or with small groups of pupils with SLD. These are long-term opportunities for individuals who are committed, patient, and ready to positively impact children’s development both academically and emotionally.

Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SLD
Support small groups with structured learning activities
Adapt tasks to meet individual learning needs
Encourage communication, independence, and confidence
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Are calm, patient, and empathetic
Can build strong, trusting relationships
Are reliable and consistent
Have strong communication skills
Are proactive and able to use initiative
Genuinely want to make a difference
Experience in SEND is desirable but not essential — the right attitude and transferable skills are equally valued.
