A vibrant, two-form entry primary school in central Eastbourne is seeking a confident and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team.

This is not a “sit at the back and observe” role. The school needs someone proactive, warm and switched on – someone who can support learning, manage low-level behaviour positively and genuinely become part of the classroom team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across Year 4 and Year 5

• Running small intervention groups for Maths and Reading

• Providing targeted support for lower ability learners

• Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement

• Assisting with preparation of learning materials

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school

• Is confident supporting KS2 curriculum content

• Can build rapport quickly with pupils and staff

• Is calm, adaptable and reliable
