A lovely rural primary school in Horsham is looking for a flexible Cover Primary Teacher to deliver PPA across all year groups — from Reception to Year 6. Because of the school’s location, you must be able to drive.

This is the perfect role for someone who loves teaching but doesn’t want the full load of planning and marking every day.

  • A friendly, supportive staff team
  • Well‑behaved, engaged children
  • A calm, community‑focused environment
  • Strong leadership with clear behaviour systems
  • Beautiful grounds and a lovely countryside setting

If you enjoy feeling part of a team while maintaining flexibility in your timetable, you’ll love it here.

📚 About the Role

You will:

  • Cover PPA time across all year groups
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons or light‑planning depending on the timetable
  • Support consistency across the school
  • Adapt quickly to different classes and age groups
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Contribute to the wider school community

This is a great fit for teachers who enjoy variety, new challenges and moving around the school.

  • A qualified teacher (ECT–M6 welcomed)
  • Someone who can confidently teach across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • A calm, professional and adaptable classroom presence
  • Strong behaviour management with a nurturing approach
  • A driver, due to the rural location
  • Someone organised, reliable and happy to work across multiple classes
