Youth Worker (Education) – Secondary Schools | Flexible Opportunities

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their potential? Do you have experience in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work? This is a fantastic opportunity to step into education and make a real difference in the classroom.

Pink Tile Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Youth Workers (Education Support) to work across a range of secondary schools. We support schools in providing high-quality pastoral and classroom support, helping students stay engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning.

No formal classroom experience is required—this role is all about your ability to build relationships, support young people, and bring a positive, consistent presence into schools.

The Role:

As a Youth Worker in Education, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive learning environment and encourage engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in lessons to stay engaged and on task
  • Build positive relationships with young people and act as a role model
  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation where needed
  • Provide pastoral and learning support to individuals and small groups
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, or similar)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive, resilient, and proactive attitude
  • Passion for supporting young people’s development
  • Ability to stay calm and confident in challenging situations
  • No formal teaching experience required

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Availability between 08:30 – 15:30, 2–5 days per week
  • Right to work in the UK
