Set within beautiful grounds and working in small, nurturing classes, this school provides a calm, therapeutic environment where students aged 11–16 can feel supported, understood and motivated to achieve.

About the Role

As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside skilled teachers to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. No two days are the same—and that’s what makes this role so rewarding.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting students in lessons, both individually and in small groups
  • Helping young people develop emotional regulation, confidence and independence
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Assisting with learning activities, practical tasks and personalised interventions
  • Creating a calm, safe and structured environment
  • Encouraging engagement and celebrating every success—big or small

The school’s small class sizes mean you can build strong, meaningful connections with students and see the impact of your work every day.

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Calm, patient and compassionate
  • Comfortable supporting children with SEMH needs
  • Able to stay positive and solution‑focused in challenging moments
  • Passionate about helping young people thrive
  • A good communicator who can build strong relationships
  • Happy to work as part of a close, supportive team

Experience in education or youth work is helpful, but not essential—the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Why This School?

  • Stunning grounds providing a peaceful, therapeutic setting
  • Small classes allowing personalised support and real impact
  • A supportive, well‑established staff team
  • Fantastic training opportunities and room to grow
  • A setting where every child is seen, valued and encouraged

This is a school that truly puts wellbeing—student and staff—at the heart of everything they do.
