1:1 Teaching Assistant

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Waterlooville

A supportive and well-led school in Waterlooville is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a pupil who requires additional support throughout the school day.

This is a long-term role where consistency is essential – the school is looking for someone who can commit and build a strong relationship with the pupil over time.

Your role will involve:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the day
• Supporting emotional regulation and engagement with learning
• Working closely with the SENCO and wider staff team
• Helping the pupil access the curriculum in a way that works for them

The school has a strong SEND provision and experienced staff team, meaning you’ll be well supported in the role.

Role details:

• Long-term opportunity
• Full-time or part-time
• Start ASAP or from May half term
• £93 per day

The ideal candidate:

• Patient, consistent and reliable
• Experience with SEN or care backgrounds beneficial
• Able to build trust and positive relationships

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Up-to-date safeguarding training
