About the Role

This is a long-term supply position within Key Stage 1, offering consistency and the opportunity to become a valued member of the school community.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
  • Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable

  • Experience with phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • A track record of delivering strong pupil progress
