About the Role

We are currently recruiting Primary School Teaching Assistant to support primary school within Brighton & Hove on both a daily supply or long-term basis.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking flexibility, variety, or the opportunity to secure consistent, long-term work within a school setting. Whether you’re looking for ad-hoc days to fit around your schedule or a longer-term placement to build experience, we have opportunities to suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 on a supply basis
Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Adapt quickly to different school environments and follow school policies
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Carry out general TA duties, including preparation of resources and supervision

Requirements

Previous experience working with children (school-based experience is desirable)
Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and year groups
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable (but not essential)

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience supporting SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH needs)
Prior experience working in UK primary schools
