We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Tunbridge Wells, working full time with pupils in small group settings.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, SEMH, and additional learning needs
• Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities in small groups
• Provide consistent, calm, and positive support to help pupils engage with learning
• Assist with personal, social, and emotional development
• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a caring, patient, and resilient approach
• Is confident working with children with SEND
• Can work effectively as part of a close-knit team
• Communicates clearly with staff, pupils, and families
• Is reliable and committed to full-time work

Previous experience in a SEND school or similar setting is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
