1:2:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant – Chichester

Daily Rate: £60 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm

We are looking for a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:2:1 support for a primary-aged pupil within a specialist SEMH school in Chichester. This is a rewarding role supporting a child with social, emotional and mental health needs in a structured, supportive and nurturing environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored 1:2:1 support to a primary-aged pupil
• Support learning, engagement and emotional regulation throughout the school day
• Develop a consistent, positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Support behaviour using calm, consistent and proactive strategies
• Assist in delivering individual support plans and classroom strategies
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider pastoral teams
• Encourage positive behaviour, wellbeing and emotional development
• Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (or a willingness to gain experience)
• Calm, patient and resilient nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of behaviour support and emotional regulation
• Reliable, proactive and committed attitude
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
