Key Stage 2 Teacher Needed

About the Role
We are working with a primary school in the Hastings area seeking a committed and resilient Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply or ad-hoc basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact within a dynamic and diverse school community.

The school has a strong focus on pupil development, inclusion, and pastoral support. As such, the role would suit a confident practitioner who is able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear expectations and boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
• Establish a purposeful and well-managed classroom environment
• Support pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
• Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and senior leadership

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2
• Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
• A calm, consistent, and proactive approach
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils with varying needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
