Salary: £102.67 per day
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for motivated and resilient Sports & Behaviour Mentors to join an alternative provision setting in Crawley. This role involves supporting children and young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs, using sport, structure, and positive engagement strategies to improve behaviour, confidence, and learning outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about building relationships and using an active, hands-on approach to support young people who may find mainstream education challenging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in both classroom and alternative learning environments
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Use sport and physical activity to promote engagement and positive behaviour
  • Build strong, consistent relationships with young people
  • Support emotional regulation, resilience and confidence building
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
  • Encourage inclusion, participation and positive outcomes
  • Follow all safeguarding procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH experience desirable)
  • A confident, energetic and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to engage young people through sport or activity-based learning
  • A calm, consistent and supportive manner
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
