A specialist provision in Portsmouth is looking for a confident and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.

This setting focuses heavily on relationship-building, consistency, and routine, supporting students who may have struggled in mainstream education.

The role:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Managing behaviour and helping regulate emotions
• Working closely with teaching staff to deliver structured support
• Creating a calm and safe learning environment

You’ll need:

• Experience with SEMH, behaviour, or similar backgrounds
• A calm, consistent approach
• A valid DBS on the Update Service
• Up-to-date safeguarding training

This is a long-term opportunity with real scope to go permanent.
