Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Secondary School
Location: Hastings
Contract: Full-time, long-term

We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Hastings who are looking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is a hands-on role supporting pupils across the school, working 1:1 and with small groups, and playing a key part in supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom.

The role:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering pre-planned interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Providing strong classroom and behaviour support
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a HLTA or experienced TA in a secondary school
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Confidence working 1:1 and with small groups
  • Calm, resilient and proactive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
